Doesn't seem to take a whole lot of pressure.

Remember; not all those guages are calibrated the same & prolly not very accurate, either.

Serious issue there. Get some electrical tape and cover the gauge ASAP

Nothing can F you up quicker on a tourer than looking at all the gauges. My oil is 32 at start-up, shows close to zero at idle hot. It runs and sounds great so I don't worry about it

i run straight 60W Amsoil in my 12 CVO 110. The pressure is above mid point at speed and sits about 10 to 12 at idle. Also helps with the noise.

my 09classic did the same, half way cold, very low at hot idle. put in e.r.t. oil pump bypass spring( thier weekest of the 3). now 50 or so at startup and runs over middle on the highway, abiut 15 at hot idle. over10k, no problems, no oil out breather.

Post up what you find out with your oil changes, should be interesting.
Come to Arizona during the summer when the temp outside is 115 or 120 and that florida heat will feel like winter

Yep. Lived and rode in Mesa for 5 years and know exactly what you mean. I sure miss the year around riding in AZ.

Have you ever dealt with the humidity in the deep south?

I may have to try that stuff next riding season but I don't believe the heavier oil has anything to do with the oil pressure.

I installed the Baisley #15 spring and seat and at speed the gauge reads in the area of 50 and at idle in the area of 15-18.
