Default Tried them once

I paid for a TPMS once. Got them installed and there was a 5# variance outta the box. So to me, if they are not accurate with any certainty, then I could spend 300 bucks in other places. I returned them.
I did however install "ride on" tire sealant to help with any road hazards, the bike rides smoother, and while its a pain I would rather check my tire pressure every week or so.

Yeah great, mandate tire pressure sensors on m/c's. another device to prolong the life of dumb people. Like there aren't enough dumb people on motorcycles (and in cars) the way it is?
Wanna find all the dumb m/c riders, particularly that ride touring models? Start a thread titled "what is the best way to trailer or ship my touring model". Anyone that replies, is a moron.

The subject of a TPMS came up in the last Harley-Davidson Advisory Panel survey. Some pretty good questions come up regarding future products, features and improvements. If your not a member, here's the link if you would like to join the panel.

Yes, tire pressure is important. That is why I all my adult life I have regularly checked tire pressure on all of my vehicles all my adult life.

Don't need any extra cost nanny systems.

They are not cheap as they have long life batteries and transmitters in them.

I had TPMS on my last 2 bikes. It was nice to get a warning light after I picked up the slow leak from a nail out on the freeway. Nice safe exit to plug the tire before the pressure got low enough to cause handling issues.

On my Ultra, however, the sensors don't last 5 minutes before being thrown off due to the vibration. Nice to have, but until my Ultra runs as smooth as my old Vulcan 2000, not gonna happen.

And TPMS isn't for wimps - it's a nice safety feature.

I agree. Make it part of the odometer and you could even have an idiot light go off it one gets too low.
