Holy ****,
How much good riding weather do you have up there?
We are down from November til March here, and it bites, but we make up for it when we can ride.
Thank god for the forum in the interrum.
Only 2 seasons in Alaska......winter and the 4th of July!!
Man ! ......I'm read'in this thread and then realize tears are runn'in down my face !
LOL!! Now thats funny!!!
We get good days and bad, Thanksgiving it is supposed to be in the 60's, then cool down next week into the 40's, never know here, we can get a blizzard and it be 70 the next week.
As far as the cams, they will make a difference you can feel in your butt, mostly low end torque and roll on power when you want to pass without having to down shift. Was told the Screamin Eagle 204's were a good choice for my bike, I have a carb and they don't fall off as quickly as the SE203, 255 or Andrews 21, or 26 cams, plus they will work great after I get my big bore going from a 88 to a 97 ci. I will write up a report after I pick her up and let everyone know how they perform on my bike.
fwb35...what differences are there in getting the cam upgrade. I guess I'm asking how would one expect the bike to run differently after new cams? Thanks
You are kidding right? Do US a favor and spend a few weeks searching and reading cams on the forum. I don't mean to be crass but cams are one of the easiest ways of getting better performance out of your bike.

Well after picking up my bike last night and riding it home, the SE 204 cams are fantastic, much better low end and pulls hard past 5,000 rpm, also the sound is great, nice lopey idle and louder when getting on it, glad I did it.
Rode mine today, yesterday, last week. Just keep it in the garage so when we hit a nice day I just get on and go. Suppose to snow tomorrow and on and off most of next week so may be a different story. My dealer told me I could just put a battery tender on it, throw a sheet over it and it will be fine. They did say though that if I start it make sure I go for a ride to get everything completely heated up or I will just be creating condensation.
