Engine was cold when I adjusted it, and if memory serves me correctly, I think I backed it out half a turn. I tried adjusting it to try and fix this problem, but no luck yet. Just annoys me. Why won't it operate like my Sporty and FX where neutral is always easy to find?

That was going to be my next project with this bike to perhaps rebuild the clutch or at least disassemble it and look for a problem. Bike had 27K when I bought it and I've only put maybe 200 miles on it before I went to work on it. Unfortunatly all that will have to wait a few months now since I'm having my right wrist operated on tomorrow.
Don't laugh ; the only easy way for me to find neutral is to lift the shifter with my two left fingers while its running, even after using redline shockproof....

This is my first Touring bike, but am I being unrealistic to expect to shift into neutral like my other bikes?? I know they are all different, but aren't they all the same to a certain extent also??
07-08 have some stupid tall gearing, couple that with the lightest clutch spring harley has used in a bagger = CLUTCH SLIPPAGE= BURNT CLUTCH.
So it could possibly be a toasty clutch perhaps then?? Would you recommend different springs when I get around to opening it up and maybe rebuilding the clutch??
