I need a little advice from you guys. I picked up a new set of lower fairings and hardware from a yard sale. My buddy owns a paint shop, so I ran them over to his house this afternoon to have them painted Vivid Black.
How often do you see guys run just the shells? I recently spent $1200 on on a stereo, so speakers are not needed down there. I like the way the glove box gives the lowers a finished look, but I won't use the storage space and they're spendy. Do they make a blank that resembles the glove box without the door, or an insert that will give them a more finished look? Or should I just mount them and stop over-thinking the subject?
I have seen the glove boxes go for less than $50 on ebay quite a few times. If you watch and are patient there is a deal out there. I have the boxes and will probably replace them with speakers eventually. I dont use the boxes to store anything but I feel like there needs to be something there, I dont think they would look right with nothing.
I've seen them as just a shell...they look horrible...another set of speaker could NEVER hurt...especially seeing you love to hear your radio, Dead giveaway spending $1200. ;^))
My vote is get the speakers...if you're not going to do that then get the glove boxes, it's nice to have a few extra things at arms reach while you're riding.
Hogtunes makes a great cost effective kit that is plug and play if you wanted to go with speakers or the J&M kit is a better kit for the loudest bagger out there. If you have any questions please feel free to contact myself or one of the guys here in the office and we can gladly help you with anything you need. Thank you and have a great day.
I just recently put the Liners & Magnetic doors on and find them really usefull now. Never used them before, but now i use them all the time. $80.00 bucks, well worth it.
