Default 107 or 117????

Getting ready to pull the trigger on more ponies for my 12 SG. Sending the bottom end out to get the works before i destroy something. If I go 107 i know i can keep my TB, woods 555's Jackpot Exhaust stc. Getting heads ported if I go 107. my ? isif I go 117 what more would I need for that build? Just trying to see how much more it will cost if I go that route if I wanna spend that kind of money or if I can afford it lol

there is no replacement for displacement. plan on tb, injectors, solid clutch setup. and depending on what kind of exhaust you have a high flowing big pipe would help.

I've always heard the stock intake and injectors don't support much over 100hp so for sure they would have to upgraded. But as long as you are splitting the cases, might as well bore them and put big cylinders on, even if ya need to wait on on the other upgrades. You'll still get the added bottom end!

Why spend the money twice, go as big as you can afford. I'd wait till ya have the coin for a S&S 124 kit...and do it right. Save money by doing as much of the labor as possible yourself.

Enjoy

negative ghostrider. there are plenty of people over the century mark with stock injectors and TB, myself included

OP - if you're sending the cases out, its a no-brainer to go 117.

Big difference in performance and price between a 107" and a 117". The 117" in my dyna cost at least 2x more, but also has way more hp and tq.

Go 117" but figure 8 to 10K!! That is to do it the right way. S&S 124 might sound pretty good!

When I built my 120 for my now sold Fatbob, I was asking the same questions. You have to do something with the crank to support the 117 anyway. The SE 120 and S&S 124 have a longer stroke then the 117. Thats why I went with the 120, 4 5/8 crank over the 4 3/8 crank equals more torque.
