I do not know for sure, but the RKP did come with "Run Flat" tires.
Initially you would think that this is a good thing. However, the load capacity of the Run flats was allot lower than the standard Dunlop. Check it out.
there has actually never been a 'run flat' motorcycle tire. Cop bikes used to come with 'bead retention' tires that were designed to be less likely to have a catastrophic failure in the event of pressure loss but they were not rideable without pressure for any length of time.
I have a 2009 FXDB and I think it's time to step-up to a Road King. A local dealer has a new 2013 Road King Police that looks nice. Anybody got any thoughts on the police models vs. the other road king options? Any problems with the police models? I'm wanting something that I can put a few hundred miles without much pain (something that's hard to do on a Street Bob with a 50 year old ***). Is the police model a real touring model?
Thanks in advance.
Jim
the police model is the best solo tourer out there. I have a 2011 FLHP myself and love the seat (even better after I added the 2013 shock that does away with the air and raises the seat to a more level position.
Mine is a '97 model, but it is without a doubt the most comfortable bike I have ever ridden...I'll never go back or be without that air ride seat again.

+1 on the Solo seat and RetiredPoliceBikes.com
I love mine with the solo seat. I can ride all day in comfort I also have purchased the 2013 coil-over shock setup, but have not installed it yet - bought a brand new pull-off shock and seat bracket off of eBay for $100. A Mustang passenger pillion can be added if you want to carry a passenger and retain the comfortable solo seat.
For what it is worth ,I understand the wiring harness is not the same on police bike as on standard RK. This would only be problem if you wanted to install cruise control or other electronics on bike.
