Default Question about PC V installation?

I am going to soon be ordering a PC V from Fuel Motto and was trying to understand the installation before I get it. I thought the Oxygen sensors were just removed from the exhaust and plugged but a video I watched showed otherwise. The video showed the sensor plugs being unplugged then eliminators being used between the connectors. The sensors that are attached to the exhaust were not removed like I thought they would be. Hope that makes sense,Thanks

Default Pcv

The video is correct. Leave the O2 sensors in and add the eliminators. That way if you ever have a problem, which is not likely, you can just unplug the PCV and plug back in sensors and ride with the ecu programmed tune. The entire setup is very easy especially if you don't have ABS (space issue). Go with Jamie at FM - full service and twice the warranty and maps for life and all mods.

You can remove them and install plugs if you want to. They don't restrict much flow. I doubt if you would even see a difference on the dyno. I figured letting them in there was cheaper than buying plugs.

Thanks for the response, I should have mentioned I have a 2010 Ultra with ABS. Do the eliminators come with the PC V and is the ABS going to make it very difficult for installation ? I am going to do business with Jamie but didn't want to bug him with a bunch of questions that I knew someone on the forum could answer. I think I'm going to also get the Ness Big Sucker to go along with the PC V. I know it can be used with the stock AC cover but was wondering if my cover will stick out any farther with that set up.

I have a 2010 Ultra with ABS and had no problem with installing mu PCV. Fits under the seat, is a bit tight spacewise but no problem. I put on a JAckpot head pipe and PPut the O2 sensors in it but just didnt plug them into the hookup terminal

I didn't really see the answer you're looking for, so I'll chime in. You will install the eliminator caps. It is not required that the sensor be removed from the exhaust pipe. Fuel Moto will send you what you need with the correct instructions.

I removed the sensor wires completely from the pipes and threw them away. You can order bolts that screw into the exhaust where the sensors go.

Default Why not add Auto-Tune?

I just installed a PCV with Auto-Tune on my 02 Road King Classic. In my case I have a bike that did not originally have 02 sensors, however, as part of changing my exhaust system I purchased a system from a later bike that had 02 sensors. At that point I changed from a PCIII to a PCV with Auto-Tune as that is now supported for my model year bike.

Just to feel the difference I kept the PCIII in the bike after changing the exhaust. The bike ran well but not as well as after installing the PCV and enabling Auto-Tune.

After just a couple of rides I can really feel the difference. I can also see the difference when looking at the Trim tables after each ride.

Since you already have an exhaust with 02 ports you may want to consider adding the Auto-Tune unit?

BTW: DynoJet support is outstanding! Chris Kelly answered all of my e-mails promptly and provided great advice and support!
