The SG is priced higher all because of it being a new bike and the demand for that bike. It has to cost HD less to produce that bike but people pay the higher price for anything that is new and hot. IMO the best bang for the buck is the EGC. When the SG came out I really wanted one but after comparing and riding both bikes I ended up with the Classic.
