I would say that the Road Glide is the best bang for the buck.
According to the HD site, the RG comes with cruise control. It doesn't show the SG with that feature.
If I could justify owning 2 HDs. I would be interested in anew Road Glide SE. Maybe they will have a RG, in a SE model, for 2008 or 2009.
As popular as the SG model is, they will no doubt come out with a SE version of it first.
I don't think HD will be selling, air cooled, bikes 5 years from now, so it would be nice to have 2 different models to use, depending on the type trip I am going on.
Tom
Each model has stuff the others dont, SG you get, black and chrome motor, full lenth chrome tank piece,
custom pegs and floorboards, short tinted windshield, rear fender treatment with LED lights, different wheels and so on. So even though the RG has cruise a 300.00+ part, the SG really has more dollars in extras.
The RG makes for a better ride,SG looks great, but dont knock it till you ride one. this is not a pissingmatch of mines better then your like the SG posts here.... if you ever rent one to ridesee if you can get the RG you will see a bigdifferencein the ride...
No p*ssing needed here. I "used" to hate the way a Roadglide looked and while I admit I am still not in love with them from a looks perspective, they are better highway bikes. Fixed fairings play a big role I am sure. I have seen alot of really sharp RG's on this forum so the looks are starting to grow on me more and more.

I am with you on the looks...I am still not in love with it. and your right, there are some sweet RGs here. and Sg as well. but the RG is a great ride
I would like to find some kind of ghost flames or some paint job for mine that will keep it black but give it some more style
