bellgnte, the codes that you saw certainly affected your system. I have only seen the clock reset when 12v power was lost for whatever reason-- blown fuse, pulled fuse or a disconnected battery.
My glide went into limp mode with codes and nothing happened to the clock but not saying a certain combination of codes couldn't do that.
Combustion pressure cannot close that plug gap. It has to be either something in the cylinder which would likely have done a lot more damage that just close that gap, or the gap was deliberately closed or plug dropped on the electrode.
Do you have compression in that cylinder? Is the bike runing OK now after a plug change?
As far as the clock reset, I see in the 1st post(s) it was mentioned about checking grounds, pulling fuse(s). If by checking grounds you removed them, and retightened connections, along with fuse removal, one of these caused the clock reset.
