I have an 04 Road Glide with stock bars. I really like the feel and comfort of the stock bars, but I am looking for something chrome that will accept internal wiring. Talking to my dealer they can get me a set of stock bars that are chromed and are drilled for internal wiring. Or they have a set that arenot the stock dimensions(I think they were for a RK) but they are 1.25" thick. I saw a set on another bike and really like the look. Does anyone know if there are a set out there of 1.25" bars that have the stock height, width and pull-back for a Road Glide?
Be careful trying to hide wires in stock bars! They are too thin and WILL break understress. I have seen it happen!
I was so eager to get something shaped different than the stock RG bars, that I've never looked for anything similar. I use WG bars and really like the feel, although the wiring is not hidden.

Yeah the dealer told me to definetly NOT drill the stock bars. I can get bars with the stock bar dimensions that are pre-drilled and are suppose to be strong enough, but I really like the look of the thicker bars.
Go to www.wild1inc.comthey have RG bars that are 1 1/2 and predrilled for wiring. They also have lots of PIX of customers bikes with there bars. You should be able to find something there. I had them on my 2004 Fatboy the 12.5 Apes and the chrome quality was great!!!
I'm getting ready to do what PhilM did and go with WG bars, I already bought them just waiting to get them installed.
