Default Saved My Life

I was reluctant at first to buy one because I didn't think LED lights went with the classic styling of my FLHRC. None-the-less I bought a BAL-1 anyway for the safety factor and it matched the stock lens.

One night about 10pm headed home on the interstate rolling along at 65mph I glanced in my mirror and saw the only other lights a quite a ways back. Only seconds later I glanced again and they were on my azz and gaining at a tremendous speed. Instantly I new this was wrong and somehow kept my cool and pulled the break lever just enough to activate the BAL (4-5 jittery flashes). I watched his headlights do a nose dive and smoke come of his screeching, front tires as he veered off to the right. I think he took an exit. What I don't know is if I woke him up or who knows what. What I do know is he would have flew right over top of me. So glad I wasn' daydreaming.... gotta keep the eyes moving at all times and use them mirrors. Having done that the BAL was there to grab some major attention and save my azz. Thank you BAL.
Immediately after, I again I focused on the road ahead when a street glide blew past me in the left lane. Perhaps they were racing.

Um..... yeah, what he said...!

I like my Bal-1, it looks just like a stock light until you activate it. I didn't go with Harley LED stoplight because it has extra chrome and I thought it a little gaudy....

Is the BAL-1 a plug and play or does it take a bit more wiring skill ?

100% plug and play. It takes much longer to decide how you want the lights to flash and how bright they should be than it does to install them...

I have had a BA** light for about 2 years now. I really feel safer with it. Just let a cage get close and touch the brakes and WOW, they will back off. Well worth the $$ and I think every scoot should have one. How much is your safety worth? Happy trails.....
