I actually had a car stop behind me at a light and then back up some as if it were burning his eyes or something.

Face it, $200 may seem like a lot for a brakelight, but many of us drop that on chrome in a heart beat. I bought my BAL-1 last summer and immediately felt safer. Cars definitely take notice. I have mine set for 2 flashes then constant on. I think if it is set it for constant flash, it could be too much for the guy behind you especially sitting at a stop light.

Its simple to install; like 5-minutes simple. Choosing your flash sequence takes longer.

The thing I really like is that adjusting the intensity (not the sequence) of the light is very quick n easy. When I'm solo riding it's set at the highest "stare into the sun" setting, but when I group ride w/ HOG I use the lowest setting out of courtesy for the guys behind. It takes just a few seconds to do this adjustment. And the lowest setting is still brighter than stock.

Buy it. It could save your life. Ride safe!

I love the light on my Ultra. I couldn't imagine being without it on a Road King or other bike that only has a single light in the rear.

Yup BAL are money well spent. Had a BAL-3ST on my Ultra Classic and just bought one for my FLTRU. There is no price on added visibility and getting distracted driver's attention IMO.
