Default Pro Pipe 02 bungs

Since the Black pro-pipe for 2009 touring is not available by V+H any longer, where have you guys that have been running PCV with autotune been mounting your 18mm bungs? They come with 12mm bungs, and a weld on 18mm kit.

Kinda chitty that you have to weld on a brand new pipe..........sure wish I could find a 2009 version (had 18mm bungs).

pics if you got 'em

Thanks

The Fuel Moto stainless header comes with both sets of bungs already welded in. Sorry that the V&H is causing you extra work and aggravation. When you install the 18mm bungs, weld them in up near the exhaust ports. That's where they need to be for maximum effectiness when measuring the oxygen in the exhaust stream leaving the head.

You need to be weary of the angle and orientation of the bung. The sensors stick out pretty far and have wiring coming out of them so you have to make sure that once they are screwed into the header, they don't touch the cylinders or anything else when the header pipe is reinstalled.

Here is a pic of the FM header to give you an idea of where the 18mm bungs are located:

Can't you switch O2 sensor's fm 18mm to 12mm...shouldn't they clip off/on?? I could be wrong & it a whole different connector/set-up, but thought it could be worth a look...otherwise it's time to find a good friend who can weld.

Fuel Moto and D & D both offer a headpipe with both bung ports installed. Optimal setup for spot on Dyno tuning. Just sayin!! Good Luck

I have a Samson Caliber 2-1 pipe that was supposedly for the '09 model year only. I am running it on my 2012 Limited with no problem using the 2012 stock O2 sensors. I just bought the adapter kit from Nightrider(?). It comes with the adapters and the wiring extensions for about $40. I have a picture of the pipe on the bike in my album but don't have any close-ups. Can't figure out how to attach it here. Sorry for my computer illiteracy.
