Hey Guys,
Quick question:
2011 Road Glide, 103", 54H Andrews cams, 0.030 H/G, Heads ported polished and taken down 0.015. Stock valve sizes, stock pistons
I don't have my heads back yet, so I'm just asking for simular build expieriance.
What can I expect for piston valve clearance?
I have read a ton of info here (all excellent), but have seen no input from any one with this set up. I will clay them any way, but I don't think I will have any issues, as my pistons sit down in the cylinders close to 0.080 at TDC.

Any and all welcome, thanks
I can't tell you what to expect exactly but clearance should be in excess of .100"; the 54 has a low TDC lift. I am currently running TMan's 600SM in an all bore 107", heads shaved .010" with a .030" head gasket with valve to piston clearance on the intake at .090"; more on the exhaust. The 600SM has a TDC lift about .030" more than the 54.
BTW, I doubt that your pistons are down in the cylinder .080"; maybe .008"??

hahahahaha, your right, 0.008".......dyslexia rears it's ugly head again
