Default Help please!! ...Possible computer problems!

Yesterday my bike shut down in the highway at 75 miles per hour, speedometer freeze and lost power. Other biker stop in a gold wing to help. He told me he had a old Honda did the same, he said to disconnect the computer wait 5 minutes, before start the bike, I did it and worked OUT FINE, (my bike is runnig fine now), my bike still under factory warranty, so I stop in 2 dealerships on my way home, they check it and could not find anything wrong?? …just one mechanic (no the manager) in the 1st dealership told me to replace the battery. Somebody here had this problem before or any ideas what is going on?

First thing I would check is the battery cables. Also, do you have a "piggy back" tuner on your bike? There have been a few with that type tuner that had problems that turned out to be the tuner, just saying.

Thanks man for your reply, looked in to cables before took off the computer, never touch the battery, I just disconnect the computer and reset it, 5 minutes later, the bike start normally and ran fine all the way back to my house (maybe 40 miles), I will check them again to make sure that’s not the problem.

When you disconnected the comp it probably cleared all the codes and thats why they could not find the problem. No codes saved. Disconnecting the battery usually clears codes also.

Loose battery cables can cause things like this.
