Still trying to get my bike fixed. Been down for a week or so. I dissconnected the PC 3 and it is firing on both cylinders now. I do not understand what these tuners actually do. I looked on their website and don't understand all that jumbo. I need a book or directions. Can someone explain a little on these.I do know about the maps and have seen these plugged into a cpu and changed but I would just like to understand it better.Any help is appreciated.
My 1st PCIII quit while wife and I were on interstate. Bike died with 18 wheeler riding up my backside. Took ECM fuse out with it. Sent in back to manufacturer and they told me it was totally fried, wouldn't even power up for them. I bought another at a reduced price but still have not re-installed it yet, Put a Cobra FI2000R AutoTune with CVT. It,s been running great.
Ok It seems I need to upgrade my tuner. I do not have a co2 senser either. I need to know what to do. Some advise on what tuner and if I need to add sensers or not. I am hearing Thundermax a lot.
Bodean, I looked at these and I can live with the price. Not sure what CVT is. Will I need to add exhaust sensers or not. I think I need to upgrade this tuner stuff to where it is right. I just dont know what to do.
Try to find the best dyno tuner in your area and see if you can buy the license fee (150) use his dynovision tuner. Most charge 300 bucks for the actual dyno tune
450 you could have it all dialed in and have your ECM reflashed properly without buying a tuner
I am being told the Thundermax will replace my ecm and it comes with its own oxygen sensers. I know it is pricey butmight be my cheap way out IE..ECM TUNER and SENSERS. Am I thinking correctly here. My ecm has issues already(very minor) that makes me worry if it is going to fail on the road.so now I get it all for one price. I am steady reading on this as we "speak" I think I can do this job myself but I need some input from the forum to tell me if I can or can not. Why couldn't I ? Why shouldn't I ? ETC. Man Ya'll are great.
My PC III was junk. I was not happy with it even after I was on the phone with them for 2 hours. The company was helpful but it just did not work out for me I guess. I did the race tuner and I'm much happier with it.
