If ya gotta have analog; the way to go. But the Dakota Digital has so many more features and for just a little mo money.
The Dakota Digital is pretty cool I had looked at it before, but at $499.00 its $260.00 more than the Harley speedo from Lake Shore.
I just five minutes ago ordered the HD 70900070 speedo/tach combo from LSHD1 for $239.96. I added a little to the order to get the free shipping for orders over $250.00.
With no tax (9% here) and free shipping I saved $98.57 on a $339.90 retail priced order. Stretching those Christmas dollars. Merry Christmas to me. LOL.
Thanks again for all the info on the speedo/tach combo, I think I will like it.

Dakota Digital unit can be had for $360 from Amazon; the extra features are worth the upcharge to me.
I have one on my 12 Road King, The small tach is a bit challenging to read at first but I learned to glance quickly at it when I need to figure out if I am about to lug the engine. After 2000 miles I have learned to shift by the sound.. Nice instrument I recommend it !
I look at the display model every time I go into my local Harley dealer. Unfortunately I have an 02 Road King so that unit wont work for my model year! If it did I would have bought it! I like it much better than the Dakota Digital as i prefer analog gauges to digital.
I got this on ebay. I'm sure this style guage will work on your bike also. My bike is a 03 rkc. I can't remember the part number but you can get it through harley and have the odometer set for mileage on your bike.

A Merry Christmas indeed, I got it for my 2011 FLHRC, functions great!, looks great!, is easy to install...and what every body else said, except for what btsom said.
