Default CVO seat

Really like the Cvo seat now I see they have it in Black on a 2013 RG started looking and found the Brown\gold one in Catalog "52000057" but I was looking for black then on here I see part#52000042 and 52000024 so here is the question.............the stock Harley seat lets water in when it sits out at night or in a rain storm, love the stock seat but not willing to put up with wet *** all day is this from the stitching or cheap vinyl they put on? and does the cvo seat do the same? if any of you have one let us know does it "leak" of stay dry? I had a corbin last 9 years with no wet *** even brush the puddle water off and off I went.......

You might want to stay with the corbin saddle since you are use to these.

Not sure about the stiching being waterproof or leaking allowing for a wet ride.

But, what I can tell you that A LOT of folks that have bought a CVO

Street/Road Glide have complained about how uncomfortable they are, and have

switched to a aftermarket brand saddle.

Good Luck,

YB

when I do a search here about the seat alot great reports on it the only issue I see everyone don't like is the non back rest...no info about dry and I have sat on one and like it more than the Corbin for my bike.....Friend has Corbin saddle on his and it kicks you back in the seat when riding but does not feel right when stoped makes me tip toe for some reason.....

I will throw my two cents in again. The first thing that went on my old CVO was the stock seat, it was the worst seat I have EVER ridden on. It looked nice, but that's it. I gave mine away, lol.

Very uncomfortable, and you can't use a backrest. If you ride any kind of distance, it's not the seat for you. And for what it cost, you can do much better IMHO in the aftermarket.

It is just my experience brother , but the guys locally whom I know that love the seat only bar hop and go to bike night. I ended up with a stock RGC seat modified by MCC on the CVO when I owned it. I would just hate to see someone fork out that amount of $$ for a seat just based on looks. If you do not ride far then have at it, your ride. But in my opinion, not a seat to be in all day long, I did that one weekend when I first owned the bike and then it came off in a hurry.

Have it. I love it. And yes the stitching lets water in.

Yeah he gave it to me and I LOVE IT!! Thanks again bro!. As far as comfort, its hit or miss depending on how I feel that day. If im really into it and the adrenalin is pumping, I hardly notice it. If im just relaxing, it gets a little uncomfortable for ME but not unbearable. I rode to the dragon on it a few weeks back, about 550 miles round trip, and did it all in one day and I was perfectly fine on that seat. I had a cop seat combo and I put it on the bike but took it right back off the next day because i loved the CVO seat so much. As far as wet? Well, I ride my bike a lot and wash it a lot and have NEVER had any water soak thru. I even had some frost built up on it a few nites after getting off work late and once i wiped it all off, i was comfy and dry. Very good seat in my opinion, but its all about you and what you can tolerate. I will admit this though...I came from a crotch rocket seat over to this harley CVO seat so ANYTHING would've felt comfy to me. But overall, great seat for me.
