It should operate just fine through your stereo, either through a selected station or by plugging into the accessory jack. You will just have to change channels through the xm unit.

Love satellite myself, but I wish someone made an integrated unit like they do for the iPod. Harley is too proud of their unit @$490. If you could get one for the price of the On The Move iPod interface, I'm there. Until then I'm in a holding pattern. Oh, before I get all the "forget satellite people" I do have an iPod, but like the option to switch it up. And pandora isn't the answer out west, it may work in heavily populated areas with lots of cells but ill pass. Give me satellite! (At a reasonable price)

Assuming you know you have to subscribe to satellite radio to receive, nope nothing special really. I would just plan on using your aux jack instead of the FM transmitter route. When the FM transmitters first came out they worked great but then gubberment regulators decided they had too much power so they made them lower the power and now your own radio can barely pick up the signal.

I don't know if they still offer it or not but I subscribed with surius satellite when they first started and they where offering $250 life time subscription. It was worth it for me. I use it all the time in all my vehicles.

SIRIUS does offer an IPhone App that plays their radio throught the Phone. You just need a regular account.

Understand that but any thing run through the cell is worthless out west due to spotty cell coverage. It good for around town, good luck in west TX and such on reception.

I know a freind of mine has a portable Sirius player that he uses a lot. The receprion is not as good as the installed unit in my car, or on my bike, still it is a nice addition. He just drops it in a window bag and then runs a wire to the aux input.

Nothing special other than mounting. Before I got the Harley unit (from a forum member) I used a portable unit mounted to the handlebars with a kit I got from tss-radio

Subscriptions are pricey, & they aren't waterproof, but other than that it should be a good way to go. I have one that I switch between two cars that don't have satellite. Even then I found that I wasn't usin' it much, so I rigged up a 12V power supply & an old radio here in the garage & use it here. I'm listenin' to it now. It'll come with one antenna. Figure about $15 for each antenna in however many places you want to use it. It's still a good buy.
