I have CVO mufflers on my 09 SG. I'm starting to get the sound bug. Ran across the Mgs mufflers. How loud are mgs mufflers compared to rhineharts? Also, is there any performance advantage of the CVO mufflers compared to stock mufflers? When I purchased my 09 SG it came with CVO mufflers and true duals.
Not much of an advantage with the CVO mufflers, can't comment on the MGS mufflers. Have you looked into the CFR (Cary Faas Racing) mufflers?....Just ordered a set Saturday after hearing my friends Road Glide with them, those things sound awesome!!!! Here is where I ordered mine from.
I looked at Fulsac, just wasn't excited about cutting them unless I looked at the wrong install? Rhineharts are NICE but everyone seems to have them. :-) Maybe I'll go 4 inch Rhineharts? So the CVO mufflers offer no performance advantage over stock?

its not really cutting. the baffles are held in with 2 welds. you just have to grind those down. it really isn't a difficult job, and the results are more than worth it.
my wife had rinehart true duals on her last bike (3.5) and she likes the cvo mufflers with the fullsac 2.0 cores better.
I love my CVO mufflers with the 2" full sac baffles. I wanted the 4" exhaust without going with the Rineharts that everyone has. Not hard to install them. Here is the video of when i did it.
I felt that the MGS mufflers backed off more at cruising speed than the reinharts did, but both bark just as loud when you twist the wick (pretty similar sound). I stuck with the MGS since I wanted loud, deep pipes, but not ear splitting on those long highway cruises.
I must say still pretty tame. I also have a stock headpipe that i de-catted. I had the 3.5 rineharts and found them to be annoying with the drone . These sound smooth but when on the throttle is sound real good.
