That looks great! Kinda the direction I want to go. I want the amber turns and plasma rods though, which will take a little bit of wiring to figure out at the tri light in the fender.

Timbrland --Love the look of your bike- already got my extended bags in - just been trying to find
how I was going to do the lighting with minimal work and money- this seems just perfect
Great Job done!

You did an awesome job with your lights, license plate holder / light and wiring. I believe the HDF guys would appreciate the short cut on the how - to..... Thanks, Richard

Hope this picture comes through. I liked Timberlands idea of a better Rear lighting for my 12 SG. Conversion was a little different than Richards. Newer bikes have a built in converter in the Tri bar LED. Power for all lighting comes from under left side cover on my SG, to the left connector on the Tri bar. On the right side of bike(left as you look at the converter, is another plug that feeds your run, brake, and license light.
Part #s for connector you will need are:
72130-04 12 way Qty 1
72189-04 Seal Pins Qty 4
74197-04 Secondary Lock Qty 1
74196-04 Socket Terminal Qty 8 (BUY SPARES!!)

I picked up a spare connector (it's a 12 pin) from a buddy of mine, and wired a new harness. Follow this Pin out and you will be fine.

Remove old light bar and harness.

Take new connector and socket terminals, along with wire and proceed.
Connector is numbered 1 - 12.
Pin 1 is feed to your RIGHT Brake/Turn
Pin 2 is feed to your LEFT Brake/Turn
Pin 3 & 4 is NOT USED
Pin 5 is GND
Pin 6 is GND
Pin 7 is feed to LICENSE LIGHT
Pin 8 is feed to LEFT Run
Pin 9 is feed to Right Run
Pin 10 is NOT USED
Pin 11 is GND for LICENSE LIGHT
Pin 12 is NOT USED

I chose a Yaffe Stealth 3 Universal Plate holder, Black, and painted it BBP, along with a 1 3/8" pop in hole plug, also painted to match. Also ground threaded bosses on back of plate holder down to pull the frame closer to fender. Using this frame will require drilling 2 holes for mounting. 1 3/8" plug was for replacing original wiring grommet, and also used as the way to route the License light harness. This plug requires a small hole for License harness.
Feel free to PM with any additional questions.

You could always cut a hole in your fender and run a BAL.

Heres what i did to mine, added the LED wrap around lights on my chopped pack. wired as run, turn, brake. my flashers work as well. I have also ordered the smoked lenses to complete the smoked out look in the rear and lights up really bright for the cagers to notice.
