Looking for some advise. Going to pipe my 12 Road Glide Custom this winter and cant decide between the V&H Pro pipe, or the D&D fat cats. Using a cobra auto tuner and stage one kit. I have heard the fat cat stick out far on the rear and get realy hot? Help!
Also give the Bassani B4 a good long hard look. Two of my riding buddies went with this pipe (in Black) and the Fi2000 and couldn't be happier as the combo works great their bikes run like a top. Plus the look and sound is very distinctive.

Good luck with your decision!
+ 1 for Bassani's. Im running the 2-1 on my 1990 with a built evo and slip ons with no cat on my 2009 right now. Im happy with the performance and distinct sound of both. My old man runs a Bassani 2-1 on his 05 RG with a 124" s&s too.
I've got the Fat Cat on my Road Glide. I don't think it sticks our any farther in the back than my slip on's did. It does hang lower and it's easy to scrap the bottom of the pipe. I had to build up the curb on my driveway or it'd scrape all the time. That's the only thing I don't like about it. Gas mileage dropped but the fun increased. It looks, sounds, run's great.
If your worried about the heat look for a pipe ceramic coated inside and out like Drago's Dragula.
I've had both & liked the Fat Cat, better quality & no problem with heat on either, loved the sound, but that's very subjective. Have a friend with the Dragos, good looking pipe & probably the best bang for the buck.
Dragos 2 into 1 is the way to go. Rumble at Idle but it sounds like you could pull a stump at WOT. Great torque curve as well as customer service....Frank is the man

Just put the SE 248 cams & tuner stag 2 on my 2011 street glide with Rienhart true duels & Gatling gun tips great performance & I love the deep rumble I get, if your interested
