Default Muffler comparison question

For fellow HD brothers who have rode with both, may I please ask : From the riders seat, what is your sound comparison between the real CFR's and Rinrhart 3-1/2" slip-ons ? I am intreasted as to the "loudness" difference at curising speed and how deep of a tone with each ?
Would appreciate any input, Thanks Craig H.

I can only speak for the Rineharts but, I wouldn't trade them for any other slip on. Not too loud going down the road until you roll the throttle.

The CFRs may blue if you install them without a tune.

I've said it many times, Rinehart produces the most sought after sound in a dual exhaust setup. If I ran duals, they'd be Rinehart.

I just put 4" Rinehart slip-ons on my 2010 Road King. Sounds great! Not too loud, but nice deep sound with stock air cleaner.

I've never owned either, but I've rode bikes with both. There is no comparison. The CFRs are much deeper sounding and louder. The Rineharts have a high pitched crackle and tinny sound compared to the CFRs. Both are too loud for me for any length of time, but I really like the sound of the CFRs. If you are looking for deep and loud, CFRs are the way to go.

One other consideration.... I would dare say that almost half the touring bikes I see with add on exhaust are sporting Rinehart. If being different is important, you might want to consider something else. IMHO, the look and sound is almost perfect, and Apparently, a lot of people agree.Aso, they are not great performers. There are a lot of exhaust choices out there that offer better gains in hp. And tq....

I have had 3 1/2'' Rineharts on my last two StreetGlides and now have them on my 2013 EG Limited.

I tried the RH 4'' but decided that I like the sound of the 3 1/2'' better, just personal preference. To me, the 4'' sounded like they had a little deeper sound than the 3 1/2'' and also appeared to be louder at highway speeds. The yardstick that I judged this by was how difficult it was hearing my radio.

One thing about the 3 1/2'' they can cruise through town and not disturb anyone, but if you spank it, they will be no sneeking up on anyone.

Wish I could help you with your comparison, but I can only speak from a Rinehart experience.
