Only thing about me getting this work done, is that it would probably be by the local dealer. They do have a few good mechanics there and the one guy is really good and he is the only one who touches my bike. No local Indies that I trust around here. how does it work with fuel moto and their exchange? i would imagine i would have to send them my heads before they would send me replacements. don't know how the dealer would feel about that. i don't consider myself a wrench when it comes to bikes, is it difficult to do on your own? i do plumbing and electrical work for a living, so i am good with tools. just never really worked on the bike. harley does show a crankcase replacement instead of machining the stock ones. they are $650!!otherwise the screaming eagle chart is showing 125 hp and 120 torque.

if you can swing it price wise; I would look in to the S&S 124 crate motor for 6200 with a ne year warranty. Sell your current motor for $1500 - $2000 and that is great deal for a 124.

Don't kid yourself, a properly built 113 will walk all over a 107. I'm a big fan of the 107, I've got one in my bike, with ported heads, Woods tw8 cams, and 10.7 compression. It's very similar to what Jamie calls their "Hellraiser" build. But it's not going to be able to keep up with a comparably built 113.

I've got everything for a 113 build sitting in my storage shed, waiting for the right opportunity to go into my bike

Yep, I did a pro race SE 113 on a Softail a few years back. Produced numbers similar to my 120R and was faster revving. I'd do it again in a heartbeat especially in a light bike like a Dyna. Are you using the MVA heads? These heads flow like a mother*cker.

I had a stage 4 113" in my '08 SG with excellent performance and it was smoother running than the stock 96" stocker. Mine had Falicon crank work.
I placed over 8000 miles on that engine and never a problem.

A friend of mine still has his '08 SG that has the exact 113" build that I had except his crank was worked on by Darkhorse.
He has place over 10,000 hard miles on his and it runs as strong today as it did back in '08.
He still has the stock lifters, stock oil pump and has never used anything other than Rotella 15w40 with a 1/2 qt. of Lucas Oil stabilizer.

I had more money in my 113" than I have in my 120r with the sale of my stock 103.

If ya have never done engine work I wouldn't recommend doing a 113 build as your first project. Ya may be able to do a 107 kit but if ya don't feel comfortable.... If ya have the dealer do the 113 make sure ya have the crank trued and welded/plugged along with the timken bearing. Ya may be pushing SE120r money with a good 113 build but the shorter stroke will rev quicker and higher making comparable power and maybe more smiles.

I had FM send me heads and juggs, had to pay the core charge. Then when I got them I did the build and sent them my heads and juggs and got my core charge money back. That way you have the packing material also.

Fuel Moto 107 maybe the best bang for the $$. Or drop a 120R in.
