Shop the CLEARANCE racks some dealers have better sale items than others.....
Almost everything I have with HD Logo is off the clearance rack. Visit enough (I travel a lot), be patient and the deals are there. I have purchased everything from touring pants, coat, electric gloves, boots, helmet, and leather gear. On clearance pricing it is usually reasonably priced.
Dude, dont worry about anybody but your self. Wear what you want. I wear a suit to work every day, when I get home I put on my harley shirts and jackets.... I really don't give a sh** what others think... born to ride forced to work !
Got to agree with the others on wearing what YOU like and 'F' others. I have friends that will bust on me (or the wife who loves HD clothes BTW) for being an advertisement for HD but we try to look for deals, clearance, special 20% off offers which bring the prices in line with a non HD similar quality piece etc. and most of the stuff is good quality decent looking. We are at the shops a fair amount and if that alone can keep me from going shopping elsewhere (mall) with the wife -- the value is intangible. Same dudes that bust on me will run some chicken wire half *** fix on their bike that keeps em off the road rather than spending that harley "rip off" dollar. We call folks like that "fools". Rather be riding than filling my saddlebags with hacks and tools to fix problems. Nothing wrong with do it yourself, wish I could, just having a bunch of downtime because you don't want to spend a dollar at harley on a part, so you retrofit some other fix that doesn't work quite right, seems a bit stubborn. Whatever, I drifted, Happy holidays all and hope you get some nice HD or other riding goodies!! -- Dave
I have LOTS of Harley T-shirts and they all have one thing in common.
They have this tag in the back that says Made in USA
I refuse to pay the HD (high dollar) premium for a shirt made in a 3rd world country.
And lately it is getting harder and harder to find USA shirts.
I too have a ton of HD shirts, jackets and jeans. I like the HD jeans because they have deep pockets and are comfortable. There are 4 Harley Dealers within 30 miles of my house so I hit the clearance racks and whenever I travel I cant pass up a HD Dealer.
I agree that some of the clothing is priced a little high but the quality is there. I am a jeans and t-shirt kinda guy and like to wear the bar and shield. It is a conversation starter and can find people with your common interest in a crowd.
I have been wearing the jeans and they run true to size. I wear a 34 length and find it tough to find that lenght off the shelf so I order them from my dealer.
the clearance rack is the place, we have only bought one or 2 regular items after looking a long time. I would rather see my B&S than the bashers alligator, abercrombie, bugle, calvin, levi etc....
I tried Walmart, Iron Pony, Competition Access., but THEY CAN NOT COMPETE WITH THE CLEARANCE RACK ON either QUALITY OR PRICE. and I did shout that for a few that shouldn't even be in this thread with nothing constructive to contribute.
