I measured again from the axle to the end of the muffler. I Also measured the mounting bracket from the rubber block back to the end of the flat bracket. I'm now at about .25" difference. This is close enough for me. If it's still bugging me in the morning, I'll loosen the right muffler and pull it rearward .25" to match the left side.

I really appreciate everyone's time and help with this. Merry Christmas to all.
That is what it usually boils down to. The left hits bottom and adjusting the right to match.
Merry Christmas to all.

Two solutions to your dilemma. The cheapest would be to get the pipes even, drill a hole in the one that moves and kick it with a pop rivet.

The second I ain't saying.

An even easier solution is to tighten up both clamps enough to create a slight resistance and put the clutch side pipe where you want it. Then with a solid straight edge or wood yard stick placed against the clutch side pipe outer tip, slid it over and pull the brake side pipe out or in so both pipes are even. I guess it doesn't matter what side you start on but I do it the way I described it here.

Geez Louise, Are you guys for real?
You dont have to cut anything or drill anything. Loosen the clamps on the mufflers and the bolts on the muffler hangers under your saddlebags. Pull both mufflers back til they hit the hangers on both sides then move each forward 1/4" and your pipes will be even on both sides. Tighten your clamps and bolts.
