Pit I thought they were quiter then my stock mufflers on my previous 09 96" FLHX with no cat. Keep in mind they really restrict those to make emissions happy with the bigger motor. I cut the restrictors out of the baffles and that helped a lot but if quiet with good looks is what you want OP then the CVO mufflers are for you.
Jswerve, men in blue chase loud pipes here... They are restrictive for a 110" so for a little 88" they will be less no?
Yes i know they are quiet, more quiet than were my Supertrapp, but enough to here the harley sound and stereo friendly.
Europe is not USA, loud pipes are not welcome...
i have a set of 2011 CVO mufflers on my 01EG. sounds a lot better and a little louder then the stock mufflers. stock was quiet all the time, the CVO muffs are much louder under throttle

Mine were not loud at any level of throttle. The only thing I could hear was my top end on my 110. Maybe having them on a 01 makes a difference who knows...

Had a set of 2011 pipes on my 2012 103 in stock form and they were a hair louder than stock and a good bit louder under throttle....that was before I installed the cobra headpipe and gutted the mufflers out completely. Now they REALLY rumble on idle and sound ABSOLUTELY AMAZING under throttle. Still have yet to hear any combo sound throatier or meaner than this. Best mod I have done so far.
Just bought a pair of '13 CVO slip on pipes off of Ebay for my 2011 FRHRC 103 and a little dissppointed that they will not give more sound which I would expect from SE pipes. Aren't the CVO's a SE pipe? What are 'full sac baffles'? Seems to me like the best option to give the CVO's a fuller sound.
The Se mufflers and CVO mufflers are different. In order to get the CVO SE mufflers I suggest getting them from someone.
My 2012 CVO SG mufflers sound good to me. A much better sound, tone-deeper, and a slight increase in volume. If you still have the cats in your headers then you have a reduced volume. I went to clatless headers and now it sounds much better with increased volume. The additional volume does not interfere with my sounds but they are at the limit That I would not want any more volume.
'full sac baffles' are replacement baffles for the SE mufflers or cvo mufflers I might say. Check here: http://www.fullsac.com/cvo-muffler-cores.html

I agree with you. Installed a set from a friends 2011 CVO on my 2003 Ultra with stock head pipes. Not loud but a deeper / better quality sound. My wife had no idea Id done so and even she commented on the different tone.
+1 on using the CVO on a 88" bike. Decent performance with a more quiet, but bigger growl than the stockers. I ahve used some '06 CVO in the past (sans cats in the pipes) and my friends have used newer model versions with the same results.
I am running '03 CVO pipes now, which are actually the HD Perforance Touring mufflers they sold in the catelog (see sig below for#) which on a 88" bike I like even better. Great for touring, EPA compliant and still sounds like an HD.
