Another here with the Capt. Itch Crotch Coolers. It was the very first thing I added to the bike. They work great and were a simple install.
Step #1 Remove seat.
Step #2 Slip Crotch Cooler through the tab that holds front of seat.
Step #3 Re-install seat.
Step #4 Ride and enjoy.

Ahhhhhhhhh.....

Hi, do the Capt.'s crotch cooler flop around in the wind at highway speed? They look great but it looks like they are only attached under the seat and I don't want the bottoms flapping. Does it happen and/or is it a problem. Thanks.

Default Do The Itch

Check out Captain Itch's Crotch Coolers! They are fairly inexpensive, look good AND THEY WORK! Installation is a breeze! I guess it depends a lot on what kind of look you want also. If you decide to go plastic, get it painted to match. I went with leather because it tends to be a little more old school.

They don't flap around but are in fact fairly substantial. I wouldn't consider another big twin without a Crotch Cooler!

Do the leather ones scratch or rub on the side covers?

+1 on the Crotch Cooler. After running HD and Kuryakyn, I believe the plastic radiates the heat where the leather with the backing absorbs it as well as blocks. Plus, when cleaning behind it, all you have to do is lift it out of the way. Can't imagine just how fast you would have to run to make it flap.
