Default mid frame heat shields

has anyone put on the harley davidson heat shields. i so how do you get at the bolts to attach them. i think if i could get my 3 year old nephew to do it he would have a better chance of getting his hands in there, because my hands sure dont fit

It's HARD to install those suckers. I left the top bracket off as I couldn't hold it and thread the nut. Get some bandaids and a whole lot of time and you'll get it. And tell everyone not to buy the HD, too many other brands out there that an adult can install.

That was easier, to me, than trying to make the other heat shields fit. That Dont!
I like these HD ones on my 08 Way Better!

I put the H-D heatshields on mine, and haven't cussed that much in a LONG time! When I told my buddy I had gotten them he said he heard you have to get into 'no man's land' to bolt them on. Boy was he right!

I run the rj's originals instead of the HD ones....look better and attach with velco and tabs tucked behind the side cover

Do the heat shields make a noticible difference?
