I used a really strong magnet. Easy to move, for different shots and angles. Fun Stuff. http://youtu.be/hajgfpQMT5U

Thanks..
I've recorded for several hours on the 32 g card. GoPro recommends the class 10 card. It does make a difference.
How long you can record will depend on what resolution and FOV (field of view) you have the camera set for.
Wherever you mount it use a tether, I lost mine in Colorado when the plastic mount broke. To top it off the camera dented my front fender on the way down to the road.
Man, talk about a bummer. That sux!

2nd the windows movie maker...free and easy. If your computer is windows based and less then 5 years old, its probably already installed on your PC, look for it in the programs of your start menu.
Here is DIY magnet mount. you'll be surprised how much video you can fit onto 32 gig. Typically the battery will go dead before the card will fill up. I always carry a few extra cards with me. 2 and 4 gig cards are pretty cheap. Besides, how many gigs is a DVD? Thats a 3+ hour movie.

You can get hd 32 gig sd cards for less then $20 bucks these days, I carry several of them for my camera...but I don't have a mount for it atm...so my wife shoots our vids from the back seat. We have hours of video of the back of my shoulders/head
I use the GoPro Mounts, Ram Mounts and a Professional grip system. Basically to minimize vibrations get the camera mounted to the frame or as close to the frame as possible. The further you get away, the more vibration you will pick up. It's a great little camera and you can get impressive results.
Just thought I'd mention this new camera mount that is really slim and unobtrusive, yet you can set angles just about any way you want. Instead of rhino or plastic parts with big *****, it's made of stainless steel with two flex joints: http://www.leadermotorcycle.com/CTGY/cameras.html
I own a 2007 Harley Davidson Street Glide.
I already have two of your switch housing/control mounts that I use as needed for my GPS and drink holder.
I now have a GoPro 3 and am interested in your mounting system.
Do you have a video clip of a motorcycle ride using your system as I would like to compare yours to other mounts for vibration, view, etc.
...The further you get away, the more vibration you will pick up....
Took me some time to find out the best way to mount the camera. Started mounting it to my handlebars using a RAM mount but the bike's vibrations are to heavy to get a good result. Therefor I decided to use my body as a platform to mount the camera.
Parts used:
- piece of 160 ID 4 mm PVC pipe
- L-bracket from the hardware store
- bolts & nuts
- 2 straps
The PVC has been shaped to follow the contours of my leg. Slots were drilled for the straps and the upper bolt (to enable up/down camera movement)
On that HERO 3 you better get the case that allows the USB cable to be pluged in 30 Mins Tops for record time on a battery. Had on for a trip to the Dragon Tail With the Black Hero3 mounted to crash bar with the GoPro "rollbar" mount" what little I recorded did good but 5 mins on Moonshiners run and it died befor I finished 1 pass on the tail!!!
I returned it to Best Buy they took it back (within 30 day mark) but manager said 3 of 5 returned are due to poor battery life.
Had a class 10 64Gb card ..... said up to 9 hours with that card they forget to mention it has to be pluged in for more than 30 mins
