Happy New Years,
I just installed the LED Rear signal on my 12 Limited.. I already had a HD LED Brake.. I also have a tour pack signal Converter . all worked well until I did the signals... I followed the instructions until it came time for Blue Wire to connect to Brake light#2, this was already occupied by LED Brake light... now I get out of sync signals and not so bright until apply brake.. any Ideas.. I put the Extra Blue Line into Brake light #1 spot.. is this the problem??
Help as I know this will drive me nuts
You need to include some more details about the products you are using. What brand and model "signal converter" and LEDs you are using? "I put the Extra Blue Line into the brake light #1 spot", what connecter location? Your issue will have to be answered by someone familiar with the specific product and application so you have to identify all those details.
this is the LED Brake light, and HD Led Signals,, had two two in to one for Violet ans Black and Other Blue wires as per instructions
all good up until the Brake light
It's been 3 yrs since I installed mine,so I don't rememeber much about it.But if it says to put the blue wire in # 2 and you put it in #1 that could be a problem.Seems I recall when I installed the LED brake light(tail light on fender)there were instructions telling you which cavity to leave empty.Do you have those instructions?
I currently have the Brake light in #2 with the Blue Wire, the Tail lights have a Blue wire also and calls for that light to be in the #2 position, these are all HD parts
Had a similar problem with the LEDs. Solved it by swapping polarity- LEDs are sensitive to positive and negative being in the right place, unlike regular incandescent where it doesn't matter.
If you still have your stock brake light, check and see where the blue wire is located.I looked in the service manual and it looks like the taillight blue wire should be in cavity #1.
