I just bought my first bagger 2000 electra glide rode it once and I was sold being that me and my wife put about 3500 miles on my street bob too last year she got on and gave the hell yes buy it sign it already has the 95 kit and 42 mik carb and I want to buy gear cams for it considering it has 42,000 miles on it now I have rode it all summer put 12,000 on it and love it just want more power anybody have recommendations I know alot of people are going with the S&S 510g or the andrews 26 cams but alot of them are running 88s I do alot of riding and like the highway power it has now but I am craving the low-mid power my dyna had (it would lift the front off of the ground) any suggestions or advice i have about $1,000 to spend and I am doing all the work myself
I am in the same boat i just just bought a 2003 for my first bagger and it to has a 95 kit. But mine came with se211 cams. I talked a bit with Scott at Hillside and Woods 6g seems the way to go. But you really need 10:1 comp. If i pull the trigger on them i would get gear drive, oil pressure spring, adj. pushrods, and upgrade the inner cam bearings. To go gear drive you need to check crank runout but with your 00 you should have no issues. As you have the good crank (Hot Forged) and crank bearings (Timken). From what i can find out you would have a bullet proof motor with you bottom end and a gear drive set-up.
Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. Taking into account the difference in weight of your new toy and a Dyna, you will need a serious increase in performance to really gee it up! It is likely you already have a set of new cams and it would be helpful to find out if so and what they are. Who did the 95" conversion?
The guy I bought the bike from did the 95" conversion and did not say anything about putting in cams and itddoesn't have the wind that it would normally have with the gear cams I will check out the hippo build on the forum
It is well worth finding out what you can from him, before planning any further changes. If he only fitted bigger pistons you have plenty of scope for further improvements, including cams and ported heads.
The reason I mentioned cams is that TC88s have a history of cam chain tensioner problems and there are several ways of upgrading them, when many owners also fit different cams. It is possible he made some sort of upgrade at the same time as doing the 95" kit.
Find as much info as you can, then we can suggest ways of improving performance.

I've done a bit of digging round and it seems 'Hippo' was a tuner (may still be) with a shop in Phoenix, who came up with a tuning package, made up of SE heads and 95" pistons, plus S&S 570 cams.
If your bike has that package there is scope to port the heads and use them with later spec cams. We have forum sponsors who can advise on the recent generation of cams, even port your heads to match therm.
