It could have been worse for you. Your lucky stars were out. If you asked the owners to pay, they might ask you to pay for their dog. You how that works.

glad you didnt go down. i hit a dog om my last bike. i went to the right and the bike went to the left. going about 20 mph. people came out of there houses to see what happen but no one asked me if i was ok and i was lying on the side of the road. the only person who cared about me was the police officer. all the people cared about was the dog. because the dog was not on a leash the owners had to pay for all damages and medical through homeowners insurance. its scary how fast it can happen. again, glad your ok.

Insurance will absolutely require a police report to even apply it towards the deductable

Glad you were not hurt! What kind of dog was it? It could have been chasing a deer and not paying attention to you. It happens all the time in rual areas.

You are thinking right...glad you kept her up is #1 and you came thru with flying colors! Glad your OK, that could have had a much worse ending. Easier to fix the bike than you...ride safe.
