Everything was bought by my dealer thru Fatbaggers. However, it made the most sense to work direct with Sherry from DG, who I will still say was nice to work with until things in their company fell apart. Even at that she apologized and acknowledged their internal issues and was so sorry it affected me. Cost was $2350 less 20%, winter special at dealer, and then 4 hours labor at $68/hr, also dealer winter rates. No regrets, without the drop seat frame, I couldn't have gotten the bike. I live in Owings Mills. Oh yeah, a $400 refund due back from the seat not delivered Dean

So is this local guy making you a second seat while you wait on the first from DG? Or did you cancel the DG? Is $400 what you were paying for a DG Airhawk seat?
Danny Gray basically said we can't do anything right now, and until they clean house, they just didn't know. They pulled themselves out of my picture. The $400 was for the seat offered with the FBI kit, and that's all we ever had until they asked for it back while the airhawk was being made. The Airhawk option was going to me $175 more and to customize the seat another $100. I thought there prices were fine. I even told them the seat is so important to me that if there's anything else you'd recommend I'll gladly pay for it. They had an easy customer who'll pay pretty much anything. So, the local guy is making the one and only seat for me. I just emailed Danny Gray and Fatbaggers and was very nice and I told them if I were the owners of these 2 top notch companies with excellent reputations, as they are, then I'd find a way to complete my project and give it to me for all they put me thru. I own a business, and I'd do anything for a customer if something like this happened. You can't put a price on good will, but that's just me. I hope, at a minimum, that the owners even know what just went down. Dean
I'm tempted to do this to my Street Glide whether its the one from Bagger Werx or Fat Baggers Inc (FBI).
anyone try this?
Look at my picture, this is what I have installed on my SG 2010. I chose the drop seat kit from Bagger Werx, because I preferred the look of the side covers, and also the comfort of the two-up seat. On my picture, the bike has the solo seat, but I also have the two-up seat. Both seats are from Corbin, the solo seat is good for short distance riding. I use mostly the two-up seat, because I can ride all day and still feel comfortable.
