Default Thunder max or power vision

Has anyone tried both on a stock 103 with slip-ons and a/c upgrade only?

way more ammunition and expense that required for a stage 1 upgrade -JMO.

The thundermax seems to be very well suited for upgrades from cams and headwork on up to reediculous.

- i leave my bikes at stage 1, and my 09 uses nightrider.com xieds for tuning compensation- under $120...

No but if that is all you plan on doing to your bike a PCV would be fine and mucher cheaper. My stage one/pipes 06 runs great with a PCV and Fuelmoto map. My 09 has cams and I replaced the PCV with a tmax with auto tune. The tmax is great.

Default Thundermax or PC

They thundermax is the best tuner out there. It really depends on what you plan on doing in the future or what kind of riding you do. If you do a lot of traveling and different altitude changes the thundermax would be a great choice because it switches you to a wideband O2 sensor. It it is like riding around with a dyno on your bike. If you do a lot of local riding in normal conditions and just have a basic set up it may be overkill.

On my soon to be second Thunder Max Tuner for 2012 Road King with a T-Max - Max Flow Air Intake and adding Rush 2-1 black pipes. I have no complaints on the Thunder Max myself. It's a pricey method but the way I choose to go. I have one install on a 2002 Electra Glide and has made a world of difference for it. All IMHO...to each their own?

Note: The newer TBW Thunder Max has the ability now to 'store" up to 6 - MAPS for easy recall and use depending how you're riding at the time. Is this a sells point? Who knows, I'll find out myself afterwards. I can maybe see 3 MAPS for recall...City, Highway, and 2 UP?

Other than general maintenance and minor do-dad things or DIY stuff this will probably be it for a bit awhile. I would opt for a one step up cam upgrade but not ready for that can of worms to be opened just yet.

I have a Power Vision and love it. A buddy of mine had the Tmax and now has the Power Vision. The Tmax is a great unit no doubt. However, the Power Vision is as good a unit and more. It has the ability to monitor all sorts of engine and bike components. I have mine mounted on the right side of my handlebars. It shows me real time economy, engine temp, gear, etc. Also, the PV can read and reset and codes.. Very handy. I don't have to go to HD to get them reset. I can do it myself. The PV will autotune, but still allows you to manually tune if you want. It is very versatile.
