I just did my Ultra with ABS the other day and didn't have any problems. As I was taking the old bleeder valves out there was a slight amount of positive pressure in the lines. I lost maybe three drops of brake fluid while replacing the valves, so there was no need to bleed the brakes, or add brake fluid. Brake fluid looked good so I'll wait till the next service to replace the fluid.

I didn't do anything. I just unscrewed the stock ones and screwed in the speed bleeders. I was afraid brake fluid would come gushing out but someone told me it wouldn't. They were right.

I usually suck out the old brake fluid (I have a neumatic brake bleeder) from the MC, replace it with clean fluid then bleed the brakes, while keep adding fluid. The speed bleeder should make the process way easier.

Perfect timing, have a handlebar install to do with new cables and this will take some of the cursing out of the install

Did you do it with the master cyl cover on or off?
