Ditto in the garage today. Lost balance trying to use just installed center stand Thought I was going to be able to save it until I had to re-position right foot. Came to rest only on engine guard and foot peg. Edge of windshield barely scraped cage around son's stunt bike.

Reckon there are who have and those who eventually will.

WAY Way way ahead of you Bub... Welcome to the club... #1 was road construction at a busy 4-way intersection... #2 was practicing-with/teaching an unfamiliar passenger in a remote neighborhood... #3 was an unfamiliar passenger on a hill/across a swale turning right from a gas station in heavy traffic... NOTICE, you never forget the details of the experience/humiliation... Keeps us humble...

I rode my Fatbob in to the dealership the day I picked up my new SG. As I was attempting ti maneuver the SG out from underneath the overhang and off the sidewalk I quickly learned how much heavier the front end is on a Bagger. It took everything I had to keep it off the ground. I quickly learned to respect the size and weight of the SG. Luckily I have not had any issues since then. I know it is bound to happen someday.

No big tang, I've gently dropped mine couple times. I watched the video on how to lift your bike and along with my body pumping adrenaline it was a snap. I have only a very small scuff masks under the crash bars and they are not noticeable. I have no issue with telling about how I dropped my steed, its the truth and it is what it is. Funny thing is one time a was riding with a small group and this one time after refueling I bent down to tie my boot and I happened to noticed the bike next to me with the exactly same scuff marks on his crash bar and I asked him about the time he dropped his bike, his response to me was " No I didn't " I laughed knowingly and I walked away.

I thought putting the kick stand was one of the first 4-5 things you learn about a bike. Probably not a rule for bicycles.

When I was 19 an old biker just got his Super Glide back together just in time for Sturgis. Told me a story about purposely laying it down in the grass so he won't go down on the rode. Biker superstition. Also I watch a guy on a ride lay it down 3, yes 3 times in the same day, all low speed, in parking lots.

I have dropped my sporty over 3-4 times, all either in the yard or in the garage. Only damage was turn signal lens popped out, scuff on chrome. Thankfully I have not dropped my ultra yet (knocking on wood, lol)
