I'm on my second King. Really couldn't resist passing up on the Anniversary bike. Good Luck!

I love my street glide, but really been checking out the Road King. When done right they look badass. I bought my SG in May of 2012 so I'm in no rush to buy a new bike. When I do though it's gonna be either a RK or RG

It's not named the Road King for nothing.

Love the 110 badges and paint scheme ... looks great ...

Might be a little more cost involved to match the paint scheme on an aftermarket fairing ... Tour Pak should be able to get a match from the factory ... but, in my view would be worth it ...

My preference is for the flexibility of dressing up or down ...

Good luck with the decision ...

I've ridden both...actually like the SG's ride and looks much better. If I could have both, it WOULD be nice to have a retro, beach cruiser RK too.

ROAD KING! If I had not gotten my 2012 Ultra Classic last July, I would be getting a new anniversery Road King now. Love the paint and tank badges and the over all look of the new King.

I think the big difference between the two bikes is the chrome of the RK vs the clean minimalist look of the SG. If the minimalist look is the reason you are attracted to the SG, then I would suggest the SG. If however it's the Utra without the tourpack and lower fairing that attracts you, then you are better off getting the Ultra Classic and taking off the TP. Or sticking with the RK.

I like this one, "firmer in the ride" I bought the SG thinking it would be my last bike. Out of all my bikes, the SG was cool, handled great around the twistys here, Rode like a log truck, Bang, bang, ever small joint in the road. The seat is cut down low, so again cool, and hard. I changed the seat and the shocks, Im no mug with air pressures etc, I knew what I was doing, still rode harsh, almost wondered if my old softail was better. If you ride on nice roads, and dont spend alot of time in the saddle, its still a great cool bike. If you start chaging it, maybey think about buying an ultra and stripping it down. I went back to the road king, not only did it ride heaps better, the screen actually gave me more protection and less buffeting, I changed the screen on my street glide as well, The RK was still better and I can strip it right down to look like a motorcycle again.. Just my two cents..

got a 2004 rkc just recently, trading my daily sportster to a road king and I am very happy with it, I also love my limited, it is a tough choice but you need to think about what you want and want to mod out, both are easier enough, but the road king is so classic!
