I vote for RK. Isn't that how the thread started? I own a heritage softail, but he RK is the best package for my 2 cents. Sorry, just trying to get my posts up.
no offence bud, i always felt the sg was cool, but when i got off it ,and looked over my shoulder, it never made me smile like the old bikes i had, im pretty nostalgic, so the king fit the bill. even though i like the bat wing, for me i was looking back at a small RV. i know I will get some S#$t comment for saying it, just personal choice.
None taken I get the same feeling looking at the Road King. Doesn't do it for me. Glad they make so many bikes we all have different tastes. But one thing we all like is the ride, enjoy man!
I was torn between the same two bikes in 2010 when I bought my RK. The difference maker for me was the single exhaust of the SG in 2010. I liked the look of two mufflers in the rear over the single, so i bought the RK. Then they came out with the duals on the SG in 2011. but, I'm not disappointed, the RK is a fantastic bike.
I like the looks of the SG but I dont like not being able to remove the fairing, Im also very partial to the speedo on the gas tank. I have two RKs and bought a Memphis Shade Batwing. I can have bare, windshield or batwing in seconds.
Oh ya, the TriGlide in my sig belongs to the wife,

Notice any similarites?
Kinda borderline copy right infringement wouldn't you say?
Something that the moco has been doing to them for a long time.
Respects.
I think the similarities in the shape of the wing are about as close as they are with this ...
... think the Detroit Red Wings are going to sue ...?
With the quick detachable aftermarket fairing I can have three different style bikes in a matter of minutes.
Love my RK and rides great. Also saving 2k over the SG. I spent the difference on pipes and a/c and when I need a change I'll spring for the $350 Reckless fairing and have the SG look. Like many have said the most versatile HD.
I just sold my 2nd Ultra (below, need to change that) and got a new SG. All this talk of rough riding has me 2nd guessing my choice (and my wheels probably wont help the ride either). Was between the King and SG, but still like the tunes! Maybe next time, for now, I'll ride the SG.
The ride can be fixed easily. As far as tunes if you like the RK you can have tunes grab the CVO RK it has the ipod built in with amp and 4 speaker stereo. So many options. If I were you I would just upgrade those rear shocks and ride the **** outta that beautiful SG! Nice bike
I thought I wanted a street glide until I test rode one at sturgis. At highway speed I was worried I wouldn't make it back. The buffeting was so bad I couldn't ID what kind of car I was following.
