I love my Road King !!!!

With the quick detachable aftermarket fairing I can have three different style bikes in a matter of minutes.

Streetglide unless you want an old man's bike, then get a Road King...

I just sold my 2nd Ultra (below, need to change that) and got a new SG. All this talk of rough riding has me 2nd guessing my choice (and my wheels probably wont help the ride either). Was between the King and SG, but still like the tunes! Maybe next time, for now, I'll ride the SG.

no offence bud, i always felt the sg was cool, but when i got off it ,and looked over my shoulder, it never made me smile like the old bikes i had, im pretty nostalgic, so the king fit the bill. even though i like the bat wing, for me i was looking back at a small RV. i know I will get some S#$t comment for saying it, just personal choice.

A RK windshield works good. No issues there.

Not sure what you need, but batwings have radios and gages which can be nice.

You really have to ride both and make your own call. I've had both. I prefer fairing bikes but would never knock a RK as an excellent touring bike.

If you really want to walk on the wild side test ride a Road Glide.

It basically just kinda comes down to whether or not you want a stereo... other than that, a fairing can easily be added to a road king, and in my personal opinion, the ability to take the windsheild off is way better than a fairing, but obviously, that's a completely a personal reference choice. Mostly to me though, it just doesn't get better looking than that big chrome front end with a set of apes on the road king.

i suggest just taking your time deciding. obviously you're looking for advise on which model to get. sit on them, go to a dealer who'll let you test drive them, and take some time on your decision. that's sort of asking someone, "hey, should i get the red camaro, or a blue mustang". you'll likely own your new bike for quite a while, so make sure that you choose the right one for you.
