Default Fueling Cams

After riding my Ultra for a full season there is something missing. Just not quite enough grunt on long hills when touring.
I’ve decided to get the dealer to do a cam swap with new head pipe and high volume oil pump.

Here’s what he will be installing.

Fueling 574 Reaper Camshafts
Fueling HP+ Lifters
Fueling HP+ Pushrods
Fueling HP+ Oil Pump
Vance & Hines Power Duals
SE Race Tuner
Tune

All this including shop supplies, labor and tax.
$3200.00

I already have Supertrapp Stouts and SE AC. I’ve seen this same build on other bikes he’s done except different slip-ons. No complaints or problems. I'm seriously thinking of getting the head work and going to 107 next winter.

I could do all this myself because I am very mechanically inclined but it sucks sitting on the floor all hunched over trying to work on the bike when you don't have a bike lift. Also need a few specialized tools.

Anyone else on here that has something close to this build?
What do you think?

That's a whole lot of $$$, but hey if can afford it...why not?

Nothin wrong with the stock cam plate or oil pump though..

If you're really serious about a 107, I think that you should get this done now.

If you could take your bike to Fuel Moto they could do the 107 kit right there for pretty much for what you can get your cams and tune for.
Might be something to think about and a good vacation too, ya never know.

Nothing wrong with Feuling products. Of your list, I only have the oil pump and I could tell a difference in the oil pressure (better). Personally, for that amount of money, I'd have to go with the FM 107.

Thanks for the reply lionsm13. If I was closer to Fuel Moto it would be a no brainer. Problem is being in Canada there is always the unknown about getting stuff shipped. Going across the border isn't an issue, it's coming back and the guy in the customs booth says "Did you get any work done on the bike?" Of course I always say "no" with tongue in cheek.

Everything for HD's is more expensive here.

Not sure where exactly you're from, bu now that they've raised the customs allowance ($1300 tax free for 48-72 hrs I believe), you could make a vacation road trip out of it, get the work done, and come out maybe paying no tax. Not sure IF you chose to declare all of the work done if they just charge you on the value of the parts, or the labor too.

Either way with $1300 tax free, what you would pay in tax (which is just the 13% on top) it would still be well worth it cost wise.

I think your dealer is screwing you. I see about $2000 professionally installed & tuned (no oil pump needed unless yours is trashed). Less if you do the work.

I'm not knocking what you're doing, I just hate to see anybody take it in the shorts like that.

The thought above about making a vacation trip to FM is a good idea. You should really condiser that.

Good luck.

I finally bit the bullet and decided to get a 107 build. HQ HVP heads, CP pistons, 575 cams, Vance & Hines Power Duals, tune and all the other goodies done by the local dealer. Excellent mechanic with great reputation for making power. For this part of the world a decent price considering I won't have to ride across the continent to get it done. Dealer already had the heads in stock so I got a deal on them.

Just sucks that I'll have to wait 2 and a half months before I actually get to ride it.
