Busy Hot Day!
While taking off the stock exhaust, I realized that I might as well put in my EZ Boy clutch upgrade as well, and well, while I'm at it, I'll go ahead and put on the chrome clutch cover too...and well, while I'm at it, the transmission top cover is right there, so I'll go ahead and put that chrome piece on too.
So I get all that done, and realize that I have to adjust my clutch...well, might as well go ahead and swap out the primary cover for the new chromie while I'm over there...
So, I get all that done, and start working on putting the Rineharts on. WHEW!
Got the Rineharts on, and they sound pretty good. I haven't ridden yet, I'm just sitting here enjoying the AC...I'll ride in another hour, after it drops below 100. It was 105 in the garage while doing most of that work, and I'm dehydrated!

Just to avoid any confusion, I ordered a chrome dress kit for the motor, I figured since I was doing the 98" kit and was going to have the motor in pieces, no was the time. The pieces I swapped out today are pieces that we wouldn't have gotten to on Friday...so I'm sort of part chromed, but will be good on Friday!

So the 95" gives you 1550cc, what does the 98" end up being in cc's?
I don't know, exactly...I'll find out though. It's supposed to pull 100/100 or very close to it. HDWRENCH is going to do the work for me on Friday and Saturday, and he's going to let me crash at his house while he does it. (He's going to get dinner from me for that).
Anyway, it's going to run me right at $2400, which is less than what I could find the 95" for around here.
He can't use my stock jugs, he had to order them the compression will be 9.71 to 1.
He's putting Crane springs, leaving the valves stock size (better torque he said), but he'll be doing a three angle valve grind, some minor smoothing, and titanium retainers.
There are a few other items as well...though I can't remember them all.
I had to buy a tuner, I opted for the SERT, as it doesn't stay on the bike...which I didn't want.
We'll see how it goes, I'm hoping to be able to put it on a dyno come Saturday before riding it 200 miles back to Yuma.

At first all I could see in my mind from all this was you sweating like a stuck pig ,, grinning from ear to ear. Shiny parts everywhere and an Ebay used parts sale being made at same time.
I think the next investment at your house.. Airconditioned garage!
I hope you took pictures of before and after and each step...How do you expect us "proud to be a oil changer's" to learn.
