Haven't been able to get on your site for a few days. three different computers? Interested in reading the reviews I found out about.
Early Saturday morning our site was down for about an hour for some upgrades to the server. Not sure why you have had trouble getting on. I just tested it and it works fine. Which browser are you using? Have you tried doing a refresh (F5)?
Sorry for the trouble, I'll check into it some more from our end.
I had used google maps and didn't like it because it shut down after being on for a few minutes. My son subscribed to a GPS app and liked it. Then a friend from work told me about an app called scout. It is free and is a true GPS turn by turn app that talks to you and says the streets by name. Works with blue tooth. Has voice activation where you can ask it to find places. Has a music function that mutes the music when it tells you about a turn. Stores favorites. It stay on till you cancel or exit. And did I mention it is FREE!! My son canceled his subscribed GPS and uploded scout. It is an excellent app.
Are there any iPhone apps that let you plot your course via waypoints on a PCM then upload to the phone and then the GPS on the phone guides you through your custom route?
On the bike I like to plot my own route on the PC that does not take me the fastest or most direct. I want to take the most scenic or route with least traffic. I want to go out of my way to go on the little roads.
I've used "Waze" in my cage for about a year now. I have to say I LOVE it when it comes to simplifying my commute! It lets me know where to expect traffic and to take detours to avoid it. I haven't tried it out on the bike yet though, as I haven't tested it with my blue-tooth headset. Guess that's something else to put on my list for riding season!
On a separate note: Cyclone should make those consoles for a wider range of bikes! If there was one for mine, I'd buy it in a heart-beat! What a great idea, easy way to secure the phone during a ride, and still have the functionality of it being in front of you.
I use 'Waze'. Free app not only navigates but tells you about hazards, police and camera lights.
Glad I seen this I had never heard of it.I downloaded it after reading this last night and have been using it about 24 hours now and it seems to work as advertised. Hooked my crew up with it this morning, it shows them on my map, works great.
I have a vehicle docking station mounted on the handlebars for my Droid Razor. I plug the audio into my radio, I use a smart action to launch Google navigation and to launch my favorite playlist as long as it is docked and charging. It also launches Latify to record my trip on lattitude and post my location every 5 minutes so my friends can locate me. For those trips where cell coverage just ain't workin' out, I have a Garmin Nuvi in the trunk that will attach to the same mount.
