Battery removed - security system dead?
I can't recall where I read it, but I did read where disconnecting the battery on a bagger with the onboard security system will somehow prevent the bike from starting after the battery is reinstalled.
The LAST thing I want when I finally roll her out of storage is for her to not start - I just wanna go for a l o n g ride!!
Can someone chime in with real truth here. Is this true? If so, what can I do to correct it after I reinstall the battery?
Is there a sequence I should follow to reinstalling the battery?
Help please......

Here are the instructions I received:
- turn ignition ON
- remove the 40 Amp maxi fuse
- then disconnect the battery if you need to do so.
The alarm system is not activated so not affected.
It worked well for me when I installed the battery tender connections.
- leave ignition ON
- reconnect the battery
- reconnect the fuse
- switch OFF ignition
You're done.

When I picked my bike up at the dealer it didn't have a pin stored and the fobs weren't activated to the bike and the light wouldn't flash at all so that leads me to believe that once one is set it is somehow retained.
