i wouldn't be surprised if kuryakyn stuff is made in china too. i know that i don't like the idea of asian crap on my bike, but showa, a honda subsidary makes the forks for harley, keihn made the cv carbs, and probably they use kyb rear shocks, etc. even the late model hemi i put in my 1924 dodge coupe was made in mexico.
I think blanket statements are difficult. Some of Yaffe's stuff isn't even Yaffe so he has zero control. I bet some is American and some could be Asian. My MBB's were made special for me with chrome under grips as normally they do not chrome under grips b/c it normally can't be seen. (I have Battistini grips). Doubt Asia did a custom request. So unless they make them overseas and wait till they get back to the USA to do chrome, I'd say they are Made in USA. Or maybe "some" are made in USA and suppliment with overseas? Who knows. The bars kick ***. The competitors still aren't as good IMO. I'd rather made in USA but in the end I want the best for my bike.
I would assert that your bars were made over there too. Bars would be made and shipped raw then powder coated or chromed by BN as needed. With that said BR's bars are beautiful and undoubtedly made right here in USA. Guess what bars Im rocking.
Well, I'm sure none of HD's parts are made in China, huh?
Geez, really guys?
I called a freind of mine a dick once, and he said oh ok, like you're not a dick... My answer to him was... i did not say you are a dick and i am not, i just said that you are. We were talking about one specific part, where it's made, whether the price paid for it reflects where it's made, and whether the quality is any better than the cheaper versions based on where it's made. Didn't ever say anything about where any other parts of a harley are made. Idealy it would be cool if we had american bike completely made in america, but that just isn't an atainable reality any longer.
