Default Stator question

I just got my motor back from the shop and got it installed. I installed the stator then the rotor. When I turn the rotor I can hear what sounds like the magnets hitting the stator. Is this normal? Same stator, same rotor, same motor. Took the rotor off and turned the motor, no noise.

On late models there is a spacer that goes on the crankshaft before the rotor goes on.

Thanks for reply. The spacer is on the shaft.

Okay, I think I got it figured out. I pressed on the top of the rotor while I turned the crankshaft and no noise. I'll put everything together and tighten it down and see what happens.
Anyone is still welcome to throw their .

I thought you were tightened up?????? So if the compensator wasn't torqued up then the magnets in the rotor could pull to one side or the other and rub. The rotor wont run true till its torqued up.

I think you figured it out yourself. Let us know.
