Bike not charging...any ideas?

Bike not charging...any ideas?
09' Ultra, on the way home the other day engine light and battery light came on, got it home and put on charger, next day light was off. Riding around again and both lights came on again. Took bike to mechanic said stator was bad, had it replaced.
Now the volt meter is reading 12 not 14 and drops to 10 regularly.
Any idea what to check now? Every time I put it on the charger it will charge. Maybe regulator?

You might want to check this if your battery load tests ok.

My 08 Glide has an intermittent check engine light. Voltage drops and the battery light comes on. Only for a few minutes though then the lights goes out and it starts charging again. Happens every couple of weeks. I am going to check the wires going to and from the voltage regulator. Wonder if I spilled some oil on it changing the oil. They plug in with rubber boots.

Connections need to be tight - don't overdo it!
Check the 3 phase plug going into the regulator from the stator.
The regulator is the likely culprit - the bad stator might have taken it out.

Original battery? I would have that checked. It may not be holding a charge which can happen to a battery after it has lost all of its charge.
