I agree and just how in the world would a "Throttle Lock" keep anyone from getting speeding tickets?
It is used to rest your right hand without losing speed for short periods of time. Also, adjusting your right mirror at 70mph becomes much easier. So does picking your nose & scratching your *****.
Throttle locks are crap and only useful on flat open roads. I use real cruise all the time, even around town and love it.
Thank you for the information you have been so helpful. But some of us are not as blessed as you to have "REAL" cruise on it and I'm not spending $800 for the parts and install it myself.
All I wanted was opinions about what others are using as far as throttle locks yes it does help me out with speeding I can set it just right and be able to move the throttle a lil to slow down and speed up
Looking for opinions from the guys that use the thumb cruise twisty thing. My lil wheel broke off and when I changed my covers out didn't put it back in. Well with out cruise I am prone to tickets lol so please give your opinion on the one you use.
My current bike has cruise.... and of course I love it! But on my old WG, when I tried using the twisty thingy it would always vibrate loose and I would lose speed. Never trusted it, so I got one of those palm throttle grip thingys. The plastic one that attaches to your throttle grip. Helped alot with the wrist issues on longer rides.

I know what a Throttle Lock is and what it does.
Locking the trottle will not keep a steady enough speed to stop someone from getting a speeding ticket.
Anytime. I have rheumatoid arthritis and periodically have wrist, elbow, shoulder as well as ankle and feet issues. It's a strange and cruel disease, but modern meds help a lot. The little plastic throttle clip made riding much more comfortable. Just adjust it right and rest your wrist on it to maintain speed. Worked great.
I just ordered the Cruise Buddy based on what I saw here and on the manufacturer's website. () J&P Cycles has its own brand for about 20 bucks less, but you have to drill and tap during the install. The reviewers said the install is easy, but the Cruise Buddy install looks a lot easier with no drill and tap...one less thing to screw up.
